I promise I haven’t fallen off of the face of the Earth, but I have had a lot of things happen in a months time, or rather 2 months time, whichever way you feel like looking at it. And I will be glad to share it all with you…just not right now.
Although, I am proud to say that I have moved to North Carolina with one of my best friends, Hilary. We live in an apartment complex in Cornelius, N.C. I like it here. And no I didn’t move here just for the NASCAR drivers, that is a perk, but not the reason. The best way I can say it is that I am meant to be here. Or at least I feel as if I am.
I know it’s a small update, but I promise I will say more later when I take the time to sit down and type it all out. Just keep fingers crossed and prayers going.

Well, Hilary has left to return home to Ohio. She is actually in Knoxville, Tenn. at the moment. That’s the halfway point.
I already miss her. It was nice to have things to do, even if things I would normally do, but with my friend. It was nice to talk about all sorts of things and discuss future plans and topics and what have you. It was just simply nice to see her and spend time with her. And although one of her days here, my cousin Tiffany was able to spend time with us — we went to eat lunch and they went “shopping” — I would have loved to have Tara here (well maybe not here lol) as well. My step-dad seems to think I went to the race this weekend, but considering I got back home at 8 o’clock, I don’t think it was possible. (Although, I would loved to have went to it.) I did visit a track lol.
My dear friend, Hilary came to visit me this weekend, in fact she hasn’t left yet. I originally thought she’d come next weekend since there isn’t anything NASCAR to watch, but she has to work next weekend. Oh well, I have an assignment Saturday anyway. (In fact I have an assignment either tonight or tomorrow night, which I don’t mind covering but people get on my nerves, nope not the people who I am interviewing, but the people who asked. Anyway.)
Well considering I still live at home, mainly because it’s cheaper than living on my own when you have a car payment, I didn’t want to stay home this weekend. So, once Hilary got here Friday evening (with her late-Christmas present to me a Coach purse…which I love) we head to Orlando. It was either there or Savannah…both were about the same distance. Wow, I didn’t realize how long ago it has been since I last updated.
Let’s see, since my last update on the anniversary of Heath Ledger’s death, a few things have happened in my life (and in the world).
NASCAR officially started, and I couldn’t be happier. Although the first official race of the season wasn’t all that exciting, considering it was a 3-month wait and we got rain…Kasey Kahne finished 29th which put him 29th in points. He has since moved to 23rd in points after the second race of the season at Auto Club Speedway and a 12th place finish. I can only hope, as a Kahne fan, that he’ll continue the gradual move up the points chart, right?
As for other NASCAR stuff, there really is too much to list and a bunch of that I don’t care much to write about. I did write about it some in my column The Pit Report Online. While I’m on the subject of my column, I have been frustrated with it already this season. Or rather more frustrated with the sports editor who despises NASCAR so he almost refused to put anything other than my column in…and that’s even a difficult task. This week however there wasn’t one.
